COVID-19

Details regarding how COVID-19 affects sports will be posted here

District Trial Exemptions

We recognise that sometimes students enrolled at an affiliated school may not be able to participate in a district trial. As such, we have a policy whereby students enrolled at an affiliated school can apply for an exemption from participating in a district trial.

This policy does not guarantee that a student with an approved exemption will be selected in the district team. However all students with an approved exemption will be considered for selection in the respective district team based on various sporting criteria and their history in the sport.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted through your school sports teacher. We must receive your application and all other required documentation no later than 48 hours prior to our district trial.

Mouthguards

The wearing of mouthguards are mandatory for the following sports:

  • Australian football
  • Hockey
  • Rugby league
  • Rugby union
  • Water polo

If you are attending a district trial in any of these sports, you must bring with you a completed mouthguard consent form.  We strongly recommend that you wear a custom-fitted mouthguard.

Please refer to the related links for further information regarding mouthguards.

Registering for a district event

District trials are not a ‘come and try’ participation event.  You should be sufficiently skilled in your chosen sport to trial.

Our district trial event registration process is:

Step 1

Download your District Trial Information notice from our Trial Information Tab.

 Step 2

Register your interest to attend one of the district trial events with your school Head of Sport or Sports Administration.

Your school will let you know if you are eligible to nominate to attend the district trial.

If you are selected to trial as part of your school , you will receive a Nomination Form including a registration access code.

Take note of the nomination close date.  NO LATE NOMINATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED

 Step 3

Register using the registration code you received in the trial nomination pack.

Please ensure all contact details are correct.

Step 5

Come along to our district trial and bring with you:

  • Completed and signed mouthguard consent form (if required)
  • Items as listed on Trial notice

If you have not registered online and do not have all of the above documents when you attend the district trial, you will not be able to participate in the trial and you will need to return to school.
